  • Yes, but I don't think he is qualified to serve as president due to his lack of experience. Unfortunately, it looks like we are going to have to go through another "Jimmy Carter" experience -- only more extreme. Jimmy Carter did have some executive experience. Obama has none.
  • obama is the "great pretender" to the throne, constitutionally unqualified
  • Yes, he is. And the fact that some cretin decided to waste the courts time to decide this, only to come the the conclusion that the court is corrupt, is disturbing. There are far too many stupid people in this country, and some of them manage to get law degrees.
  • It appears to be a confusing question in his case. What is more interesting to me is that you must be a natural-born citizen to be Prez yet nowhere in the process are you required to show proof. When you get a drivers lic, you need a birth certificate ---- but not Prez. Other political offices (like Senator, etc. )do not require natural-born citizenship.
  • I personally believe he is. However, if it did turn out that he was not born a U.S. citizen, I'd support the long overdue Constitutional amendment to clear the way for him to become President. He was given a mandate to lead the country, after all.
  • If George Bush qualified a wagon-pulling horse born in the US qualifies as well
  • Yes. This horse has been beaten to death, and the Supreme Court decided not to listen to this silliness any more.
  • The DNC has managed to find a replacement that is even more unqualified than GWB! He's not even a naturalized US citizen! He has failed to provide sufficient proof to the public at large! His BC is a forgery and he claims he was born in one hospital and his sister says another! While his grandmother claims she was there when he was born in KENYA making him ineligible to be president by constitutional law, while he claims to be a constitutional attorney! How many other lies do we have to endure from this man? The ambassador from Kenya claims he was born in Kenya! He's an illegal alien for Christ sake!
  • Yes, and there's absolutely no evidence to the contrary. These people are reeeeeally reaching here, grasping at any straws they can find to keep the man out of office. I'm not going to say they're all racists, but.. wait, yes I am. I just can't think of any other reason to behave so irrationally. The man won fair and square.
  • No. Where is this idiots birth Certificate?
  • Stop with it, already....and I'm a stinkin' Republcan!
  • More then McCain at least Obama was born in one of our 50 states.
  • I just looked up his website and listened to his argument. He has a point. And if Obama is a natural born citizen, all he has to do is produce a birth certificate. That is easy enough to do. That he doesn't raises more questions than Berg does. He could shut the whole debate down in a few minutes if he gave the state of Hawaii permission to release his birth certificate. So why hasn't he? It is a constitutional requirement. I'm rather surprised that is isn't a requirement to file your birth certificate when you register as a candidate or with your party when you are nominated. I would think that this point would be moot. That it isn't is disturbing.
  • No, not until he proves his US citizenship according to the Constitutional requirements which he has failed to do. There are several issues that need to be addressed which should raise concern with the people of the USA but for some reason is being overlooked. Why are we not following the guidelines as set forth in the Constitution? See below. - Barack's Grandmother is recorded on tape saying she was in the delivery room in (Mombosa) Kenya when he was born. This would mean Barack is not a natural born citizen of the USA which is in violation of the Constitutional requirement. -Experts say the Certificate he provided was clearly altered which invalidates it. Also, Hawaiian law at the time allowed people to register for this short form certificate (without a doctor's signature) for one year from the child's date of birth. -Also, only Indonesian citizens could attend Indonesian schools at the time Barack attended. There was no dual citizenship at the time and if he was adopted by his Indonesian father, this would give up any U.S. rights he would have had. -And finally, US law at the time, required any child born abroad that was to be registered as a US citizen had to have 2 US citizen parents, OR if only one parent was a US citizen, that parent had to be a citizen for at least 10 years (5 of which had to be after the age of 14). Barack's father was not a citizen of the US and his mother failed to meet the requirements of residency for at least 5 yrs after the age 14. Clearly there is enough to question the legality of his citizenship. But I guess the "powers that be" are willing to sweep these legalities under the rug because there must be some secret agenda for him to take office. Either that or they are trying to make him a target.
  • It doesn't matter what I think. Also I have no basis to think he is or he isn't. I might as well think that my neighbor was born in Mexico, which he might have been, or he might not. I have done some genealogy. I have obtained certified copies of birth certificates of many of my ancestors. The State Health Departments (or Vital Records Departments, or Vital Statistics, or in some cases county departments) routinely send them to you for a couple of bucks -- except in some states. Hawaii is one of those exceptions. All it would take is one letter from Mr. Obama to Dr. Alvin Onaka saying: "Please release my birth certificate to the public." Instead, Mr. Obama has spent thousands of dollars paying lawyers to draft and file arguments in court, saying that voters don't get to see his birth certificate. Not only that, but the Hawaii Health Dept. phone staff now lies to the public, saying "Must be blood related" to get a certified copy, when this isn't what the statutes say. So I do think there is a coverup. I just don't know exactly what is being covered up.
  • If he wasn't constitutionally qualified, why would he have bothered to run in the first place? Questions like this are just silly.
  • Absolutely. Those who claim otherwise are just whining because they couldn't manage to steal a 3rd consecutive election.
  • i personally do not think so, because he didnt soult the flag, but i might be proved wrong he might be a good prseident after all.
  • Old News. The Supreme Court of The U.S. threw that out of court. Certified that his birth ceritficate is valid. And that is the highest court in the land. Berg has no place else to go.
  • If anybody wasn't qualified for anything - not even cleaning the White House toilets - that was Bush and there we have him, sitting on the throne for 2 consecutive terms and I didn't see anybody objecting to that abomination
  • Here is a fantastic article on this subject exactly: http://daveeriqat.wordpress.com/2008/11/29/is-the-president-elect-eligible/
  • Well if that is the case, neither of them were born in the U.S. I will leave it at the best man won.
  • Cool, I can see that.
  • I don't know since there is still discovery to be done. Or maybe it HAS been done and the documents haven't been released... we might find out someday. *sigh* Facinating, but one of those things like the Vince Foster case that will stew forever...
  • He is the exact opposite of George Bush, who people are blaming for their lot in life, and a dynamic speaker. But then again, Hitler was a good speaker too... Other than that, I don't see a whole lot a qualifications.
  • He was elected which a hell of a lot more than the one before him can say for himself
  • Which qualification were you looking for? He has a degree.... If you want more, contact the congress and ask for all his credentials.
