  • You Can't Do That On Television. It was a Canadian show, that aired Saturday mornings, starring Alanis Morrisette and a slew of other young actors. The show featured comedy skits, that consisted of kids dealing with their parents, teachers,etc...who can forget "Barfy Burgers" and the "Dungeon". BUT the most memorable bit on the show was when they would ask a cast member a question they couldn't answer and they were forced to say "I Don't Know", and to the disgust of that particular cast member, green slime or water would come pouring down over their head.
  • I think it was called Figure it Out. It was on Nick a few years back. It had mostly actors from Nick, but the show was about a panel of celebrities who asked questions and tried to figure it out! The show would usually have kids on that did something special. The show would dump slime and other things on the celebrities if they said the "Secret Word." I pretty sure that was the show.
  • This is to Shona and Tmoney. You both are right on the question that was asked. Both "You Can't Do That On Televison" and "Figure It Out" did slime the actors on the shows. I don't know if I would have wanted to get slimed. I wonder what the slime on both shows was made of.
  • Well actually I think this whole business started with "Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In" back in the late 1960's, used to throw water or do something similiar on several of their both guest hosts (one of them was President Nixon before he became President) and on the regulars if someone said the 1960's key phrase, "Sock It To Me?!" This was started by "Laugh-In" regular and comediene, Judy Carne (who got soaked a lot during the time she was on from 1968 - 70) who was known as the "Sock It To Me" lady on the show. Now, I know this wasn't one word (and on this show they never used slime) -- but the trend started way before the others shows listed in other people's answer (and actually even "Laugh-In" doing this goes back to the vaudeville days of the late-1800's, early-1900's), but "Laugh-In" was the first TV show to do this type of thing on a regular basis -- I think a few shows, before this, might have done so from time-to-time (for "Laugh-In" it was almost every week it aired, on NBC on Monday nights, from 1968 to 1970).
  • also there was double Dare anpther Nick show /game show that had slime as well.
