Rentals in rural areas may be very modest, but so are job prospects. Apartments in major metro areas can range from a few hundred dollars per month (for a dump) to thousands per month in a luxury high-rise.

i looked at craigslist like Scott D advised but idk if those apartments will be available by the end of this summer. i really like a couple of them, especially the ones that are lgbt friendly, that helps alot because i dont wanna just like get kicked out of a house because im gay. does apartments.com have the same appeal?

It won't tell you if they're LGBT friendly, but it'll give you a good idea of the cost.
