Question

Help answer this question below.

Do the white strips they have at Walmart really work? If so do you think the equate brand (cheaper) will work as good?

If you can keep them in place they do.

I've used both and have to say that the Crest ones are better than Equate. I know Equate is ~5 bucks cheaper- but they are made of a harder wax that doesn't mold as well to your teeth as the light strips do. Plus, with the Crest product, I had spotting only the first two days and then uniform whiteness, while I have been using Equate for a week and it's still spotty. The good thing about the Equate brand, however, is that it didn't cause any tooth sensitivity, while Crest made it impossible to eat for a couple days (I have mightily sensitive gums though)... but perhaps that just means that the Crest strips are stronger. Hope this helps!

I once asked that question to a dentist and he told me that some of them do work but results are not permanent (not hard to believe), basically the more expensive the better they are.

I asked Mark Borezo (a bean counter from Charlton) and Beezer said, his teeth looked like a cars high beams when he smiled. He went to watch the Red Sox play and when he smiled, the pitcher became blinded by Marks teeth and threw the ball over the backstop.

I'm using them for the first time right now. They stung a little putting them on at first, but that went away after about a minute. But I don't generally have any sensitivity, so that probably helped. They say to bite down to help them get into place around your teeth, and mine stuck together lol! And I couldn't spit any of the drool in my mouth either-until I sneezed lol. My teeth tasted weird, so I just brushed my teeth right after and they were better. I did have a little spotting on a couple of my teeth, and there was a tiny bit of a difference with how white they were. Hope it won't take as long as it says to have a bigger difference!

To help prevent sensitivity, a good toothpaste like sensodyne is really good. Use it at every brushing. After you're finished with whitening the sensitivity goes away anyway. The whitening effect isn't going to be there for the rest of your life. No matter what kind you use, you'll still need to do touch ups.

I haven't heard much good things about these 2 when it comes to teeth whitening but I highly suggest crest whitening strips to use. If you searched it online, you will see tons of good reports about it!

I used them for a week, and they worked really good. I didn't have any problems keeping them in place. Problem is that if you have a crown or something, it won't change the color of that, so you'll have one tooth that is darker. Also, I quit using them after a week because they made my teeth so sensitive I could barely open my mouth because jus the air touching them hurt like hell.

I think sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. What is essential is this...that anyone who has ever had any gum disease and had any gum surgery should never ever use these strips. The warning used to be inside the package so you would only discover that after the fact of purchase. If I wanted whiter teeth, I'd pay the big bucks and get a dental professional to do it and not self-administer because you might save money but do damage to your teeth/gums! :)
