  • He/she craves your attention. My friend has a dog that follows him everywhere and I mean everywhere. Sometimes he has to close himself up in a room to keep the dog away..he is still there waiting patiently at the door for him to come out though.
  • Your dog see you as a pack leader, only than he follows...He wanna know what you doing, where you going, because he is always keen on learning new stuff...this is very typicall in dogs which started this behaviour at early stage as puppies and it mostly continues throughout their life time....My dog is my shadow...
  • Sometimes dogs are following you to protect you as well, if you notice that when you sit down they are right there either on the floor in front of you or next to you, so as the dog whisper says, " they are garding you". And also because you are there pack leader, "The Boss", so they want to please you.
  • first you are the "leader" and they follow you and second they want to be with you which is a great thing as it shows they trust and love you. My 2 dogs have followed me everywhere since they were old enough to walk and thats been for the last 16 & 14 years ... they hate it when they are not with me or can not see me at least .
  • sees you as an authauroty figure and head of the pack
  • Because dogs are a pack animal and it is what they do. They walk around and do everything as a pack. If you, the pack leader goes somewhere, he feels he needs to go there too.
