  • yes, that sounds the signs of an infection. it's possible it's just sore and you react more senstive though. wait another 2 days or so, if it gets worse, go to a doctor
  • Yes, I would be very worried. A professional piercer should know exactly where to stick the needle through. It sounds like he may have hit a major blood vessel and is collecting blood inside the tongue. You could get nerve damage and lose sensation in your tongue. Any professional piercer should be very careful in avoiding major blood vessels that are very clearly seen from the bottom of the tongue. I would see a doctor as soon as possible.
  • yeah i have the same problem i got my mine pierced on a thursday today is sunday and it started to get purple spot same place but not right away like the next night is was around saturdy should i go to the doctor or wait and see if is just a bruis cause thats wat the ppl told me it was see and wait
  • i am a former piercer. i did it for 2 years, you might want to take it out. it sounds like whoever pierced you hit a vein. always a bad sign.
  • No, not right away. I got mine done six days ago and I had the same dark blue spot. I went to the place that did it and he said it is just a bruise. Mine went away 3 days later. I started to rinse with salt water to, which helps a lot also. I would give it a few days and if it is still there, then I would have it looked at.
  • Do your piercer use clamps? Often it's hard to not bruise a tongue with clamps since they're so wiggly.
  • omg yes you should be extremely worried. you could die. Someone not to far from where I live, went to a proffessional piercer, and yet, the woman was slightly off on where she supposed to pierce the tounge and the woman who was getting pierced died not long after because of it. I suggest you go to the doctor IMMEDIATLY, no matter what time it is, you could die, I don't want to say any minute, but I think I might have to. Please go and have them do something.
