Help answer this question below.

I just had a baby 2 months ago and i finished my bleeding from birth probably 4 weeks after giving birth. I just got my first period about 1 week and a couple days ago. I had unprotected sex about 3-4 days ago. Can i get pregnant?

    Yes, you can get pregnant, my kids are 13 months apart ! The only way to not get pregnant is to not have sex. Any other time you are running the risk.

    If you are exclusively breastfeeding and you are doing it often you may be protected from pregnancy as breast feeding mums produce hormones that can prevent pregnancy.

    If you are not breast feeding or if you are breast feeding and using bottle feeds as well there is a high risk of pregnancy as fertility can return as soon as two weeks after delivery and getting pregnant so soon after having a baby can carry risks. You need to discuss this with your midwife as it should have already been discussed with you....In the mean time you need to protect yourself against pregnancy.
