Well if u get motion sickness its not a good idea to go on one. Just look 2 what happened with that cruise ship that was out in sea & couldn't get in to the port because of Hurricane Ike & when the ppl got off the boat their cars were totally damaged!

For me, being trapped on the boat. Also, with that many people crammed into such a confined area, sickness can spread very easily.

It's not bad unless there's a storm or rough waters. Then everyone is effected by motion sickness to some degree.

it's not very 'peaceful'. if you want a continuous party atmosphere, go on a cruise. if you want rest and relaxation, go somewhere less activity-geared enjoy your vacation,either way!

We have always enjoyed cruising but one thing that might be considered bad is you don't get a lot of time in each port and you have to be back at the ship at a certain time each day.

Beer costs WAY too much. There are actually advantages to the "disadvantages" of cruising. For example: You often hear people comment that "you get so little time in port"... The advantage to that, is that it encourages you to plan an activity and stick with it. It makes your short stay time productive. In my lifetime, a cruise has proven to be excellent vacation value per dollar spent.

By the time you add up all the 'extras' you could fly to where you want to go,spent a few days there and fly back.Not to mention all the idiots on the boat that think they're still in college.

I once went on a Norwegian Lines Cruise through the Carribean Islands. It was the first time for me on a large plane (3 flights there and 3 back!) and first time on a ship. Turned out I absolutely loved it! Had 2 full days at sea, the rest of the week we docked in a different Island. Tried all sorts of weird food on the ship and the Islands. The only bad thing about it was when it ended - I wanted to stay there forever! I even won a contest the final day, writing about my experiences on the cruise. Bonus! My prize was a large assortment of mementos of the cruise ship and Islands that I had wanted to purchase but found to be too expensive! :)
