If you give someone a minus and then someone else comes along and gives a plus then it get s rid of the negative.

- I heard of this "COATING" hense forth in this very question. I think it quite honorable, may I COAT when I find a victum unworthy of actions against his words...(don't I sound all Royal n stuff?)...or must I stand aside be twist the other commoners , until my time comith up, and I take my place amongsth the heiarchey? - AB has again impressed me with its intelligent approch to running a community collective successfully. QnA's banned me so much, for doing nothing different than I do here, speak my speak, and here I'm actually embraced for my individual contributions. It's great. I was getting a little self concious about my abilities being banned so often, now I see it was unfounded. AB is GREATR

Among members of the AB community, there are bound to be differences in perceptions, points of view, opinions,etc with respective to your answers to the questions concerned or the questions you have posted. These may result in down ratings or up ratings.

- Isn't that rather sneaky and down low? If I had differences with someone, ones's that I could voice my point of view on for some reason, I would rather do nothing than anonomously go behind their back and downrate them. Isn't that spitful and ignorant?? Differences are one thing, communism is another.

- Somtimes users just start accusing other users without a shred of evidence. It is fairly easy to see who downrates a lot, because it shows up on their profile chart as % of rating given. For instance, I have been on this site since Feb 2007, and my points chart shows that I have given 99% plus ratings.

Nearly every active member has been the subject of a downrating attack. Lately the entire site has been under attack by trolls who pass out as many downrates as they can before their accounts are deleted.

These same trolls have flooded the site with nonsense and disgusting questions similar to the submissions you always find on Facebook and those other non-moderated sites.

The downratings only show up on your activity list if you leave the "ratings" box checked. To avoid seeing them, simply uncheck the box. They do not affect your ratings score. They only show up as votes on the questions and answers, and they disappear as soon as a plus rating is added.

- What a perfect answer. I still am awed by the freedom of the users here on AB. The sight i migrated from with Baccuss and a few others, had no such freedom. The controling factor was seperated from the "meat" where the mixture was stured. It seems democracy works in the Cybe Collective as well as the World Objective.

- AB is my favorite site. I participate in several Q & A sites, but this one is the most interesting. On thing I have found about it is that most members are polite and willing to discuss the questions and answers in a mature manner. I am really sorry I haven't been able to participate the last two or three days because of the troll attack.

- I've been banned by the "team" at QnA's for breaking their COC, which was made up as it went along, by most part, and selective taste often ruled over individual style. I remain unchanged here, yet am embrased, not disgraced, for voicing my opinion, albeit, eccentric at times, which is the best feeling in the world. I was beginning to lose confidence in ability a bit, when it seemed that I couldn't control the banning through my own dilligence. Hoever, I never sacraficed myself or my convictions for the bigger Pink, that's where I victored. I LOVE IT HERE
