Plastic bags do not rot, or disolve. Long after you have died and decomposed, every plastic bag you ever accepted and threw away will still be fully intact. How many do you throw out each week?

2, because I use them to change the cat litter. The rest I reuse when shopping.

Not too many...I get paper bags from the grocery store and use them for trash. Sometimes I will use a plastic bag to clean out the kitty's litter box, so maybe 1-2 per week?

None - we recycle them all. At least we try to.

I a few mesh bags that I take to the store with me. If we are doing a big shopping trip, then we just ask for paperbags which we recycle. On the rare occasion that a plastic bags makes it back to the house, then we just take it back to the store, where they have a recycling program for the plastic bags.

The ones nowadays are bio-degradable, in the uk anyway. Probably not in the us.

I keep most of them, I sell things on ebay and I use plastic bags as packing supplies :D.

We recycle them - I am not sure how many. At the grocery store, we ask for paper.
