Where did the rule "don't wear white after labor day" come from? Also, when can we wear white again?

    Not being a fashionista, I really don't give a crap about such silliness. It is an old rule of etiquette that dates back to the founding of the holiday. There are many differing opinions on its actual origins.

    It originally applied to shoes and accessories and was soon adopted to include suits and dresses. It really no longer applies. especially in warmer areas ... so says Oprah!

    It is safe to wear white after Easter, however. ;-)
