Help answer this question below.

IS TRUE IF SOMEONE IS TRANSGENDERED LIKE FTM OR MTF THAT THEIR REALLY GAY OR IS IT A MIND PROBLEM? MY PERSONAL OPINION IS THAT THAT THEY CAN'T HELP IT AND THAT THEY ARE BORN THIS WAY BUT I'M NOT SURE. I HAVE TWO FRIENDS THAT ARGUE OVER THIS ISSUE.........

    I consider myself a lesbian because I was born as a boy with the brain of a girl and I am now in early stages of transition. I AM female and I like females.
    But,having GID doesn't make a person gay.

    It's not about being gay...they are only gay if they like the same sex. Its a birth defect in the brain they cannot help their medical status...but being gay has nothing to do with it.

    As you suspected TGs are born that way with gender mindsets different than that of their bodies. They are not gay (guys who like guys) or lesbian (gals who like gals). TGs by their very nature are simultaneously heterosexual and homosexual regardless of the gender of their sexual partner. A MTF TG’s female brain making love to a male is heterosexual. The same MTF TG’s male body making love with a male is homosexual. The converse is equally true.

    Odds are that your friends are not overly well informed, simply opinionated. Why bother with facts when you can watch a porn movie and know all.

    ---- BTW - Shemale porn movies have nothing to do with TGs. 99% of shemales are men, making a buck in a demand industry. If their conversations are so based, they have serious issues dealing with the real world.

    Transgender is a gender identity..it's separate from sexual orientation. Someone is born feeling they are a woman in a man's body, or a man in a woman's body. They don't feel right to one degree or another...some feel better just cross dressing, some need minimal cosmetic surgery(breast augmentation), some need the full transsexual operation. It depends on the person as to what makes them feel like..well..them. There seems to be a wide spectrum when it comes to gender..
    not just strictly man and woman because you have that genitalia.
    Now their sexual orientation is as likely to be gay, bi, or hetero as anyone else.

    Being trans is the gender you identify yourself as which has nothing to do with your sexual orientation. It is believed we end up trans because of something that happens to the brain in utero.

    I personally am FTM, and I consider myself straight, I am a boy who likes girls. so in any other case that is straight. I am definatly a boy trapped in a girls body, no doubt in my mind that I am a boy. and I know of FTM people who still like boys and they would be considered gay because they are a boy who likes boys.

    Many trans are gay and many are straight. Trans people are born this way and can't help it. Being trans has nothing to do with sexuality

    I have a co-worker, male, he cross dresses, looks better in women's clothes then his wife, which she hates, but he is far from gay!!! Transgenders, men who want to be women, are not gay by in large, but in there mind they feel like women!!! We have a police officer her in Houston, who is living as a woman now, going through the whole sex change stuff, cool guy, and probably more manly then most men, being a cop is one of the most macho profession in the free world, and to come out publicly, is pure manhood!!!! It is both mental and physiological in my opinion!!!
