I am a certified pharmacy technician and I know that Warfarin-generic Coumadin envolves getting bloodwork done frequently because there are so many different strengths. I do not think this would be a good way to prevent blood clots from take birth control or to reduce stroke. It has tricky dosing. I do know that Plavix is a drug prescribed to stroke victims. As far as something that would aid in helping to avoid blood clots from taking the pill is kinda difficult . Aspirin thins the blood so it may be an option. Depro Provera is a contraceptive shot that does not hold the risk of a blood clot. You may look into using that instead of the pill. Taking a anti clot medication may do more harm than good if it is just for the sake of preventing clots from birth control. Hope this helps.
