No, don't stop drinking plenty of fluids. It is important to keep flushing your system. I think that I know what you could be referring to by "frequent urination", i.e. you find that you need to go more frequently than justified by the quantity of fluids which you drink. Something which could help to better justify or balance the system is an overall health program with some attention to those things which help to cleanse the urinary track and kidneys. You might want to read some of my other posts to get more information and also read some other posts about the gall bladder holding more. (search "bladder") Also, who knows?...perhaps toxins in the body or being absorbed by the body influence this...or perhaps parasites. Most people have parasites. Different people have different things going on with the body. You may need to experiment to see what works well for you. Also, the liver might be having a tough time. Viola or "Johnny Jump-Up" is an edible flower commonly found at nurseries. You can use the flowers and leaves to make a tea. The tea has many uses, one of which is for urinary problems, i.e. for frequent or painful urination. This could help a little, but don't use the plant parts direct from the nursery because there are too many chemicals on them. [See some of my other posts.] Use new growth or plant your own seeds. By the way, the flowers are often eaten to treat and prevent varicose veins (they contain high amounts of rutin). A good number of people have reported that they had suffered from very frequent urination as a result of using Teflon coated pans. The symptoms stopped or decreased when they threw out the cookware. Teflon, of course, is toxic and its chemical residues are now found in the systems of most Americans. Teflon is made by Dupont, who owns shares in many, many companies including some big pharmaceutical outfits and huge (quarter of a billion dollars for one) informational services for the medical community. [e.g. DuPont will underwrite six million months of subscriptions for WebMD doctors; DuPont-Merck Pharmaceutical Company, etc.] Dupont had a much less toxic formulation for Teflon in 1996, but chose not to use it. According to their own memos 20 years ago, they knew that their dumping of toxins were poisoning a nearby town, but they actually way more than doubled the dumping over the next decade. The attitude portrayed in the memos was that they had already incurred the liability, so it is of no real consequence to stop the dumping. Anyway, Dupont's information and pharmaceutical drugs provided directly and indirectly to the medical community may offer "solutions" to frequent urination. I personally wouldn't want to go in that direction for answers.... It is funny to note that here we have another chemical company producing the toxins which lead to ailments, but they offer their manufactured medical information and drugs throughout the health field which offer "answers" to the ailments. Make people sick and then make the "cure" and tell Doctors what the cure is.

Omega 3 fish oil helped me....and I was surprised as I started taking it for a different problem. I had a constant urge to urinate, had interstitial cystitis or bladder inflammation. After seeing a urologist, undergoing a very unpleasant (that is putting it mildly) procedure, I was delighted that finally I found an answer. If I miss taking it for a day or two, the urge comes back. I use Spectrum brand, in a black bottle and take it with food to avoid burping up fish oil.

This question is a very old one, but the advice is the same. Many people ask for home remedies because they are afraid of medications from the health professional. Times have changed, people. Doctors will now work with the patient and help with the best treatment. If you don't want to take pharmaceutical medications, your doctor can help you find an alternative. See your doctor and find out the cause, and get the professional information you need. You are in charge of your own health, the doctor is paid to help you.

If you're experiencing abnormally frequent urination it could be a sympton of a more serious problem. Make an appointment with your doctor and let him put your mind at ease. There could be a very simple solution to the problem.
