You dont have to pay them. All they are trying to do is get money from you. You already gave them their shit back! The same thing happened to me and my public defender told me to not give them a penny.
The store will sue and win. You have already been adjudicated, or you admitted, guilt. That is definitive proof in a civil case that you are liable.

You're reading I was caught shoplifting the police was called, i was arrested pay the fine and i did the comunitary service my case is dismised now. But i receive a civil demand from the store, what happen if i don't pay that?
