I just installed a jvc deck and new 6x9's in my car the 6x9's are running off of an amp when i turn the key on everything is fine when i start the car and the engine is running it cuts out or pulses out or surges out what can

It sounds like you have a bad ground. Make sure the ground wire to your amplifier is no less than 18 inches long and is at least 8 gauge or 10 gauge wire runng to your amp.. Be sure that whereever your amp is grounded to that there is bare metal so you get the best connection to your amp.

This is more a car question. The radio/tape deck in my '88 Honda Civic does not work when the engine is running; however, if I stop, turn off the engine, but leave the key "on", the radio works. What's going on here? Any Ideas?
