  • I'm not an attorney, but if I understand the law, the short answer is no. There might be a way for someone to get a judgment against you by which they could do that, or seize other assets that weren't originally used to secure the loan, but I suspect that it might cost too much to be worthwile. And, I suspect that the bank would have something to say about it. This sounds like an idle threat from a collection agency, intended to panic you into coughing up money.
