How successful are steroid injections for keloids and hypertrophic scars?

    Please try this. Several people reported this is working good.

    Extra virgin olive oil with garlic and totally worked and it may take 2-3 days. Keep in mind there are different kinds of Keloids though.

    The injections into the scar are such a small amounts given once every 4-6 weeks, therefore muscles should not be hindered and this amount will NOT cause death! Steroid injections have been used for hypertrophic scarring as well as keloids since the 60's for a good reason. There has been success, but as with most things not for everyone. The injections are suppose to flatten out the raised scar (hypertrophic) but will not make it disappear. There are some side effects that can result, so check with your dermatologist or a cosmetic surgeon to analize your situation and go over all side effects. A new method many doctors are using are the mixture of steroids and 5Fu together...ask your doc.
