  • No. They are probably trying to stay impartial. We all have the liberty to express our views, no matter how unpopular or faulty.
  • Right or wrong, people are entitled to their opinion. I think as long as you aren't required to agree with them or even visit the site, then there isn't anything AB should be responsible for. Can you just stay away from this person?
  • Here's the thing..we have in this country something called "Free Speech". That means you have the right to say anything you want (well, almost anything). Even the most egregious, disgusting and crappy bullsh**..that's what free speech means. We may not like it, but it benefits us if we want to say ugly things as well. So, either you trust AB staff to make wise judgments or you don't. Which is it? :)
  • Well, the site is blocked from my workplace and is listed as "Extreme;Politics/Opinion;Violence." Though I doubt any anti-Christian website would be so casually dismissed, it is still protected speech as long as it does not openly encourage violence against Muslims. I flagged a non AB4Adults question that referenced the eating of feces and the response was that the question generated valuable discussion so it was not going to be removed. *shrugs* I can't even begin to understand the motivations of the staff, but a good rule of thumb for flagging things as offensive is to consider whether the offense is highly personal, blatantly racist, or overtly perverse in nature and not listed in AB4Adults.
  • Negative. The moderators are grad school volunteers who are simply on board to review flags. Did you actually get a message saying your flag was rejected? Or did you assume that it's "favoritism" because the flag had not been reviewed yet? They get THOUSANDS of flags everyday and as I pointed out, they are reviewed first come, first served. 600,000+ users and 3-4 moderators should help answer your question about favoritism. Offensive is also a subjective term. What is offensive to you, may not be offensive to others. As I stated offbag, you may contact the AB-Staff via the Feedback link at the bottom of every page. Please be patient. If they did in fact send you a notice that your flag was rejected, you can continue to appeal it.
  • Answerbag is weird like that. They labeled this question as spam, " What really happened on 9/11?" People started relying about how it was an inside job and before you know it, it was spammed out. I couldn't understand it.
  • No, they may simply not reviewed it yet or they may think it is just an issue of free speech. Posting a link is different than posting the material you find on a website here. If a moderator sees a link in a flagged question, they have to idea what it goes to or why it is being flagged unless it is a Spam type link. If you get an email back telling you that your flag was being rejected, you can respond to that and state why you think it should be. That is the correct order to do things here, not jump to a wrong conclusion that a site is biased one way or another.
