  • I think you are wrong in saying that 70% of Muslims are Salafists. Only 70% of Muslims are Sunni, and not all of those are Salafists, even by the widest definition. Salafist is not an exact term - it is a bit like being "born-again" for Christians. Many different denominations claim to be "born again", and mean different things by it. You are also making a classic mistake when you say that because all terrorists are Salafists, then all Salafists are terrorists.
  • Well This May Shock You But I Am Salafi, I Strive To Follow Islam As It Was Intended In Its Purest Form. I Don't Blow Anything Up, I Love My Christian Family Members And I Have Jewish Friends. I Am Involved In Interfaith Communications And Understanding And I Work To Support Myself. What You Are Basically Saying Is Similar To Someone Saying That Catholics Are Terrorists Because The Ira Was Catholic Or That It Is Part Of Their Faith To Have The Priests Molest Their Children. Things Occur In All Faiths Regardless Of The Name One Calls Themselves. The Fundamentals Of Islam Are Not To Kill And Harm The Kafur, And The People Of The Book (Jews, Christians)Are Not Even Considered Kafir. The Fundamentals Being Followed Doesn't Make One Extreme, In Fact To Be Honest If One Follows Fundamental Islam They Wouldn't Be Able To Commit Act Of Terror Ever. In Islam It Is Forbidden To Attack Civilians And Non-Combatants So The Terrorism Is Against Fundamental Islam. Extremists Take Only 1 Part Of Islamic Teachings To The Extreme And Believe It Abrogates The Rest Of Islam. Adherence To Islam Doesn't Ever Lead To Aggression (The Qur'an Says Clearly God Loves Not The Aggressors) Nor Does It Lead To The Death Of Children Or Non Military Men And Women. So The Wording People Use To Describe These People Is All Wrong. Most Terrorism Isn't Related To Islam, It Is Based In Political And Social Issues And Islam Is The Sheep’s Clothing It Tries To Cover Itself With. Often You Can Watch These So Called Salafis Who Are Supposed To Be Following Islam Smoking Which Is Against Islam. The Question Would Be Better Off If You Asked Why Are People Calling Themselves Salafi And Then Violating Islamic Rules Of Engagement?
  • 1) "In recent years attention has been given to the "jihadi" Salafism of Al-Qaeda, and related groups calling for the killing of civilians, and opposed by many Muslim groups and governments, including the Saudi government and Muslim Brotherhood. Debate continues today over the appropriate method of reform, ranging from violent "Salafism jihadism" to less politicized evangelism. Despite some similarities, the different contemporary self-proclaimed Salafist groups often strongly disapprove of each other and deny the others Salafi character." Salafists, also known as Salafis, are Islamic fundamentalists who believe that Islam should be restored to its most pure origins as written in the Quran. The majority of Salafists are not violent. As Prince Turki, the Saudi Arabian ambassador to the U.K., explained to FRONTLINE, "I am a Salafi and proud to be Salafi, and would consider most good Muslims who follow the teachings of the four principle imams of Sunni Islam are Salafis as well." However, when Salafists meet and mingle with violent jihadists -- whose goal is to reestablish an Islamic state stretching from Morocco to the Philippines -- the ideologies fuse into a combustible mix." • Nope, Islam is not a "terrorist organization". If it were, why would it be one of the fastest growing religions in the world. I think it's the most misunderstood religion.
