Most are friendly (a few are scared) and the conditions are good where they are living. Carrol has built runs/kennels for them and them and all are well-fed and taken care of. Since there is NO COUNTY FACILITY to house them should the county confiscate them, they will be euthanized. The county has indicated that they are planning to confiscate them and do not specify the means by which they will be destroyed. Sunday October 19, 2008, 6:03 am For those of you who may not be familiar with the full story, the city of Rainsville brought all their stray dogs to her over the years because they do not have a shelter. She lives in a rural area on 5 acres but due to recent development people have started to complain (she has a breeder across the road and down the road from her but there is no problem with them being there). The city of Rainsville took her to court and got an order for her to get rid of all dogs except three. This has been going on for quite a few months and she is having a problem placing all these dogs. They appealed the first ruling but obviously it was overturned. The result will be when the time is up the city will come out and shoot her dogs one by one. The fire at her home was ruled arson but no one did anything to try and prove who did it.
