Help answer this question below.

If title of a car is ownership and my name is not on the title but its registered (licensed) in my name, or if there are 2 names on the title, (mine being second) can a creditor have the car be seized by the sheriff's dept. to auction for the money owed?

    If your name is not on the title, it cannot be attached by a creditor since it is not an asset owned by you.

    If you and another person is on the title, the car is considered an asset owned by you and can be seized. It would be up to you to arrange restitution to the other party who loses his share in the car due to your indebtedness
