    Not even close. A few years ago maybe, when he first did his stand up routine and did the genius Phoenix Nights, but not now. His stand up nowadays is just a greatest hits routine of all his old jokes, and that last show was terrible, relying on poor jokes which everyone else had made already about X Factor style shows over the past couple of years. Frankie Boyle, Ricky Gervais, Steve Coogan, Bill Bailey, Chris Morris and many more are better.

    Thats subjective. While Peter Kay is pretty funny, he appeals to the lowest common denominator, and a lot of his stuff is very 'samey'.

    Personally I'd have to go with the Bill Bailey reply.

    His standup is amazing, yeah. He's really funny.

    But I'm sorry, that was the biggest load of rubbish I've ever seen in my life. I sat and watched it with my cousin, I think I laughed once. Not at him. Just terrible.
