I Got Loaded- Los Lobos- "Bull Durham" When I think of greatest scene ever in a movie...it's this scene...or perhaps the scene in Shawshank when they're tarring the roof.

No points needed -- I answered this question already but: " Ave Satani " - - them to the original "The Omen" it was officially nominated for an Oscar for " Best Original Song from a Film" - of course, it's the famous ( infamous ? ) devilish vocal chanting and orchestra music we all equate with "The Omen" films, all scored by the great Jerry Goldsmith. { The entire score did win an Oscar for Goldsmith, but not Best Song.) We all are aware of those devil chants but possibly forget that "Ave Satani" was the official song from which the rest of the score developed.

INTO THE WEST, Annie Lennox, from Lord of the Rings, Return of the King. My uncle had just died when I got the CD; what a powerful, sad but hopeful, POWERFUL song and not-at-all-a-copout message about the nature of life and the inevitable.
