    You would be hard put to find a toaster using asbestos to hold the heating elements! Most use either mica or ceramic holders; asbestos was banned due to the potential for flaking in most industries.

    Thanks! Thanks a lot! I couldn't tell, so I stuck a fork down there to push things aside so I could see better. Now my head is smoking and there's in imprint of me on the kitchen wall.
