Maybe we are so bored with washing the same thing over and over again, it's something new to do. At least that's my excuse.

I sometimes do because it is the most private setting and my voice echoes a little and I enjoy showers.

Showers are spooky. Most people HAVE to listen to music or sing in the shower. Being naked and boxed up, they may feel vulnerable. Maybe it is a stress reliever in this case.

because I am awesome at it...also the shower seems to have great acoustics which make people sound better and therefore, you enjoy the sound of your voice, I highly recommend it for those who haven't tried

Because of the echo you get in bathrooms make your voice sound better and the sound of the water from the shower means you can sing louder without upsetting other members of a household. It's the perfect place for it

being in the shower is a personal getaway, alone time. many people find comfort and enjoyment in singing, and in the shower they feel secure enough to sing out loud. many feel no one can hear them so have no fear. as well, taking a shower is a task of routine, involving little to no thought, so one's mind is able to wonder. it's easy to think of your favorite song when given such freedom.

I agree with BobSaccamano, and for some reason the lyrics I come up with while in the shower are much better than the ones I come up with sitting at my desk...Not sure why...

It's just sooting and natural for me. The tunes just belt out.

Because no ones around to laugh at you, and the Acoustics are great in the bathroom, your voice just bounces off of the walls..My fav songs to sing in the shower are Goodmorning Baltimore from Hairspray, and I've never been in love before from guys and Dolls!

It's as close as I can get to dancing and singing in the rain, without getting in trouble from my mom, in fright of getting sick.

For some people it's just a place where they feel secure and comfortable enough to sing. I sing in my car for the same reason.

Yes, and according to an actual study (hopefully not involving your tax dollars), the reason is that the typical tiled walls, floors and the ceramic bathtub create a very natural and pleasant reverb. Even the most off-key voice will sound acceptable because of the reverberation.

I sing in the shower. My brother sings if he is happy. Lol always rememebr him singing the NZ national anthem and "Always look on the bright side of life.." I just find it comforting, and i sound WAY better in the shower!

I sing all the time, so it only makes sense I'd sing in the shower every once in a while. I try to only do that when no one's home though. It's a good place to sing, because you can hear yourself pretty well, and it sounds pretty good with all the echoing and water splashing around you. :)

I do because I have a terrible voice to others but I think I sing just fine so the shower is a safe place to sing without all the critics opinions:)

I sing everywhere, I'm doing a vocal major at school. So I sing in the shower mostly to help myself memorize words, and because I feel like I sound prettier with water... stupid I know.

I don't that often, but when I do, hey...the shower has great acoustics, ya know?
