  • I talked about (almost) this very subject a few months back. As I remember it, any woman can breast feed at any time but it takes time and determination to achieve it. I think it takes 2 (maybe 3) suckling sessions a day of 20 minutes each shared between each breast. This has to be done every day for weeks - maybe it was 3 months - before milk will flow. You will need help with this. As you were recently pregnant it may not take so long. I do not know. As I understand it, you should have milk in time for your baby - but not right away.
  • Yes, you can. Ella refused the breast at 4 months old due to teething. She seemed to want it again at 6 months and I gave it a shot. Took about a day to get my breasts back up to continually feeding her again. I've heard stories where women would lactate spontaneously because of overly affectionate booby loving husbands. All it takes is some stimulation for them to get going.
  • Check with La Leche League. I think it might be possible because you have given birth and the hormones are still there.
