I like to keep everything clean , but you can't say I am paranoid.. you know what I mean?

Both Jim and I are aware of the benefits of washing our hands all the time. So we do. That is the single most effective way to prevent colds, for example. Whether or not that is paranoid is questionable. Neither of us have had a cold in many years. We are in our early 70's. Many times those around us who are much younger suffer from dripping noses, etcetera. Many people don't even bother to wash their hands after they've used the bathroom. Happy Friday! :)

I don't like other peoples germs, at shopping centres i never touch the rail and give my nails a goood scrub at night, that's where they like to hide.
-
Not paranoid, but careful, especially if I am overseas in Asia, where the germs can be a lot more dangerous.
-
Not at all....I learn this from my grandfather....a little bit of dirt never hurt anyone....he lived to be 90....
-
Not at all. I read a study that said sewer rats were healthier than sanitized lab rats. Apparently, the sewer rats develop a better immune system. Apparently, the theory translates to people. My g/f is a wash your hands freak. Guess who gets sick more often?
-
Only a bit. The main thing I am paranoid about is food poisoning from leaving perishable foods out too long because I live in a hot climate and food poisoning is quite likely to happen with careless food handling.
-
I wasn't very much until I witnessed how many people in a public restroom don't wash their hands. That just really grosses me out!
-
I do wash my hands a lot, but mostly I drink that yogurt that boosts your immune system. It really seems to help ward off illness and shorten the duration when you do get sick.
-
I'm not. The body is designed to deal with therm and with normal cleanliness there should be no roblem. But i still cook ground beef thoroughly
-
Not at all. I never think about how dirty something could be, like a public sink or a hotel room. I haven't had the flu or been sick in nine years, so I guess I'm doing all right.
-
Quite. I don't share food with my friends.
-
I am not paranoid about germs, but take the proper precautionary measures because I am mindful of their existence.
-
I'm not too concerned about germs but I certainly would never share a toothbrush with another person.
-
Somewhat. I don't like germs, and wash my hands frequently in the wintertime.
-
More than I used to be, thanks to my wife, although I do think the modern paranoia about germs can be dangerous as trying to lead too sterile a life can be harmful if you end up not developing immunity to some of what's present in the environment everywhere. I'm pretty sure that's one reason we see more kids with allergies these days (as well as the chemicals in the foods, of course).
-
Not half as paranoid as I am about Christians and Republicans
-
On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being terrified), I'm around 2.
-
Not at all. In fact, I think we americans try to protect ourselves too much from germs. That is why we go to mexico and puke for half our visit. Our bodies aren't capable of dealing with them because we are sheltered from them here.
-
Really paranoid when I'm sick or when someone around me is sick. But other than that I only open the bathroom door with a paper towel.
-
hello,to a point i am,im always washing my hands.i also carry a bottle of hand sanitizer.
-
I am OCD. There isn't enough purell on the planet in my opinion. LOL some things people touch on a daily basis and then eat on the go.....just nasty.
-
I am not paranoid, but I know that they are the source of disease, so I take sensible precautions to keep mine to myself and everyone else's out of my food, off my hands, and away from my breathing.
-
No, they are a part of life.
-
I would say I'm pretty paranoid but then my IBS and phobia of vomiting has turned me like this. I wash my hands frequently, after toilet and before eating. I spray anti bac spray after a loose bowel movement and tell everyone in the household to do the same. I carry a hand sanitiser in my bag and my daughter uses one before she eats at lunch time at school. I think these days you can't be too careful as there are so many more germs/viruses around now than when I was a little girl and it's really saddening. I put it down to people going to really far out foreign countries and picking illneses up and bringing it back to their home countries and foreigners coming to live in our countries. We're just not used to all these different strains.
-
I'm not paranoid, just cautious. It's better to take small precautions to stay germ free than inviting trouble due to ignorance.
-
I would say that I'm average. I don't obsessively wash my hands & refuse to touch certain things because of germs (apart from the rubbish bin, which I open with a stick) but I do make sure that I have a hand sanitizer with me when I go out incase I want to eat something.
-
Not overly paranoid.Like a clean kitchen and loo.Change the sheets regulary.I do avoid germy people if possible.: )
