MrJosh, God is all good, the flesh, the world and the devil are things we face and that in itself will cause things in our life. God is there to lean on thru the trials and he does not cause them. We go thru life and still go thru alot of the same stuff because we just have not learned to trust God or have not believe in what his word says. We will be growing in God's devine grace till he comes back to take us all home. He is good when we go thru things we are to lean on him and will get thru. If we ask him for wisdom he will give it to us,not the wisdom of the world but God's wisdom. Wisdom will keep our feet from stumbling right back into that thing we keep doing. If we listen to God and do it his way we will become more like him.

I think suffering and hardships are just a part of life. They shape who we are and who we will be, but I don't think they come from god any more than I think good things come from god.

Hardships are a part of life. The world, the flesh and the devil do a part and God does not put bad on us. A good God giving bad to his kids? Nope, We have God to lean on and stay strong thru every struggle. He works good for those who love him from those things. Alot of things we do to ourselves because of lack of God's wisdom etc. But those things thru life gets us to do things the right way and being more like Him.

I would say so. We are all diamonds in the rough, and we need to be roughed up to be refined. Consider the pearl, for there was a lot of friction before a grain of sand became a pearl of great price.

No.. God is a false idea for people terrified of dying even though they claim otherwise.
Hardship and suffering are mainly caused by human greed and dirty rotten bastards who attend church every Sunday then look down their noses at anyone dressed not as well. I live around those Bozos and they're all over town and would just as soon let people die and starve to death on the street in front of them and run over then on Sunday on their way to the big money pit on the corner called church.

No, none of us will ever have perfection, on this earth. Only Jesus Himself is perfect, without sin.

Suffering and hardship are part of our living on the earth. If we recieve eternal life with Jesus, in heaven or on the new earth, we will suffer no more.
