I guess because you use the term "servant" you are in India or some other non western country. The terms housekeeper, maid or even housemaid are generally more accepted. I have been refered to as a "servant" but the lady was from India and didn't realise her error. It really depends on where you are and what domestic responsibilities you want attended too.
In the US they are called live-in's. You can hire a live-in housekeeper, cook, personal assistant, or such by calling an employment agency and asking for one. Your best bet would be a college or university employment office.
It probably depends oun country, much easier in poor countries.
