  • LOL...it's just what the "rich whites" do. J/K...do people really think that? Maybe it's because they are both Republicans? Sorry for my non-answer. Check your email :D
  • I think another four years of Bush-type leadership is a darn good reason not to vote for the guy. The reason many people feel this way is because they seem to have a lot of things in common. They focus on where to get more oil rather than focusing on alternative energies. They are both (imo) warmongers. They are both pro-life. I'm sure there are a lot more but I'm out of time. Might come back later to follow up.
  • Because most of his plan is just like Bush's. A look at Mr. McCain’s 25-year record in the House and Senate, his 2008 campaign positions and his major speeches over the last three months indicates that on big-ticket issues — the economy, support for continuing the Iraq war, health care — his stances are indeed extremely similar to Bush’s brand of conservatism. Mr. McCain’s positions are nearly identical to the president’s on abortion and the types of judges he says he would appoint to the courts. The only place I see any difference is, on the environment, American diplomacy and nuclear proliferation, McCain has different views from Bush, there. *****McCain’s biggest similarity to Bush now is on the economy*** I am not voting for him because he is not a good choice for a president, he scares me, with how he would handle the country.
  • Because the evidence shows he voted 90% of the time in favour of Bush's decisions.....he is a Republican...and despite his claims to be a 'maverick', he is ultra conservative...
  • I'm a voting Democrat I'm voting Democrat because English has no place being the official language in America . I'm a voting Democrat because I'd rather pay $5 for a gallon of gas than allow drilling for oil off the coasts of America . I'm a voting Democrat because I think the government will do a better job of spending my money than I could. I'm a voting Democrat because when we pull out of Afghanistan and Iraq , I know the Islamic terrorists will stop trying to kill us because they'll think we're a good and decent country. I'm a voting Democrat because I believe people who can't tell us if it will rain in two or three days, can now tell us the polar ice caps will disappear in ten years if I don't start riding a bicycle, build a windmill or inflate my tires to proper levels. I'm a voting Democrat because it's alright to kill millions of babies as long as we keep violent, convicted murderers on death row alive. I'm a voting Democrat because I believe businesses in America should not be allowed to make profits. Businesses should just break even and give the rest to the government so politicians and bureaucrats can redistribute the money the way they think it should be redistributed. I'm a voting Democrat because I believe guns, and not the people misusing them, are the cause of crimes and killings. I'm a voting Democrat because when someone with a weapon threatens my family or me, I know the government can respond faster through a call to 911 than I can with a gun in my hand. I'm a voting Democrat because oil companies' 5% profit on a gallon of gas are obscene, but government taxes of 18% on the same gallon of gas are just fine. I'm a voting Democrat because I believe three or four elitist liberals should rewrite the Constitution every few months to suit some fringe element that could never get their agenda past voters. I'm a voting Democrat because illegal aliens are not criminals, are not sucking up resources through government aid, hospital services, education, or social services, but are just people trying to make a better life by coming to America illegally. We can't blame them for that, can we? I'm a voting Democrat because now I can now marry whatever I want, so I've decided to marry my pickup truck. Makes ya wonder why anyone would ever vote Republican, doesn't it?? LOL LOL LOL
  • He's made so much effort this year to show that he agrees with all of Bush's policies, in order to energize the Republican "base." In 2000, he made no secret of disagreeing with a lot of what Bush was saying. So not only do I think he will be a Bush-clone, I also think he's a flip-flopper.
  • FACTS In an election where "hysteria" rather than "knowledge" informed decisions may decide the vote, I would encourage everyone to make an educated decision when voting. Don't further jeopardize this country by making your decision based on rhetoric. Understand who has actually made the decisions that have landed not only the United States but also the world economy in crisis! Those decisions are voted on by Congress who controls the congress? Educate yourself America! Don't just listen to the press - or vote because you like the idea of youth or voting for the first black president, make a decision based on facts! A little over one year ago: 1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high; 2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon; 3) The unemployment rate was 4.5%. Since voting in a Democratic Congress in 2006 we have seen: 1) Consumer confidence plummet; 2) The cost of regular gasoline soar to over $4.10 a gallon; 3) Unemployment is up to 5% (a 10% increase); 4) American households have seen $2.3 trillion in equity value evaporate (stock and mutual fund losses); 5) Americans have seen their home equity drop by $1.2 trillion dollars; 6) 1% of American homes are in foreclosure. 7) Food prices skyrocketing over 30% in 1 year. America voted for change in 2006, and we got it! Part 2: Taxes...Whether Democrat or a Republican you will find these statistics enlightening and amazing. <http://www.taxfoundation.org/publications/show/151.HTML> www.taxfoundation.org/publications/show/151.HTML Taxes under CLINTON-1999 Taxes under BUSH-2008 Single earning: Single earning: 30K - taxed- $ 8,400 30K - taxed $ 4,500 50K - taxed $ 14,000 50K - taxed $ 12,500 75K - taxed $ 23,250 75K - taxed $ 18,750 Married earning: Married earning: 60K - taxed $ 16,800 60K - taxed $ 9,000 75K - taxed $ 21,000 75K - taxed $ 18,750 125K - taxed $ 38,750 125K - taxed $ 31,250 Barack Obama promises to return to the higher tax rates if elected. It is amazing how many people who fall into the categories above think Bush is screwing them and Bill Clinton was the greatest President ever. If elected, Barack Obama has already promised that he will repeal the Bush tax cuts, and obviously the people who fall into the categories above can't wait for it to happen!!! They want something for nothing! PART 3: You think the war in Iraq is costing us too much? Read this: Boy, am I confused. I have been hammered with the propaganda that it is the Iraq war and the war on terror that is bankrupting us. I now find that to be RIDICULOUS. Read on... Look at the facts verify them. If your voting because you like charisma and not voting for reasons of character and integrity or someone who was willing to die for our country. We will definatly be destroyed! What has Omama done to prove himself except write books about himself and run for the greatest position in the USA?
  • Because like anything else people are either ill informed due to their own laziness to get correct information, or they are too damn stupid and will just listen to MTV or P Diddy or some idiot actor they like to tell them how to vote. It is easier that way.
  • he was ready to wear president Bush shoes, same shoes different feet.
