I prefer Amazon for great deals on books...they have that one down.

However...When they say Ebay has everything, they are not kidding. If you broke the spring on a limited-edition hole puncher made in the Southeast province of Hong Kong inspected by inspector #13 (not #14 or #12) that came from line created for only one day in October of 1976, Ebay would have 3 of them and two more if you don't want a brand new one. Ebay wins by a landslide.

Love and use both. I guess eBay since they are more versatile. But I get most of my used books and music at Amazon. We've done very well using eBay to get supplies to help build our house. Clawfoot tub, sinks, faucets, stove, tiles, skylights, all sorts of things. Couldn't get things like that from Amazon at great prices.

I do both! Thing I like most about Amazon is the 1click to but the item. You don't have to fill out all your info everytime! For me that is alot because I do a lot of online shopping!

Amazon. It seems to be more honest. I have received some good things from ebay and enjoy the thrill of the auction. Amazon has a very good used item program also.

eBay -- love the way the site is set up .. love the bargains .. sure some people overprice or overcompensate on delivery, but you find that anywhere I think.

Well, it's apples and oranges. The two basically offer two different products.

If I were looking for a new CD or DVD, and wanted to buy it online, I would purchase from Amazon.

On the other hand, if I were looking to buy something older or a bit more obscure, I would buy on Ebay.

I am much more likely to make a purchase on Ebay than I am on Amazon, simply because there aren't many things available for purchase on Amazon that are not available to me locally. Ebay, on the other hand is the best place to go find something that is either completely unavailable elsewhere, or very hard to find.

Amazon; as someone else said, it's more reliable & from my experience the things are of better quality than those from Ebay.

Also with Ebay I end up bidding about $1000000000000000 more than I planned on paying for the damn thing in the first place!

E-Bay. I think that it is more fun and I have found some real bargains.
You have to be patient though.

It depends entirely on what I am buying. Some things available on eBay are not possible to buy on Amazon. I buy more on eBay than Amazon because the prices are better for most things.

ebay used to be a great site if you wanted to find rare stuff - rare concerts etc. Now it has nothing like that anymore and has become boring and predictable.
It is also a greedy site as they charge sellers for listing items, they then charge them agaim when the item sells, and then they take a cut via Paypal.
The seller is left with nothing.
    PURE UNDILUTED GREED.
Eventually other sites will develop as sellers move to them and ebay will collapse.

eBay is good, but not cheap enough. eBay charge to much to seller, seller pass the cost to buyer.

I think item on oztion (http://www.oztion.com.au/) is much cheaper, because seller's cost is cheaper on oztion.

I personally think that eBay is better because it has more products and therefor a bigger price range, but my number 1 choice is still Amazon because it has a better and more neat design!
