    I most CERTAINLY would like to see and try your recipe.

    and though 5 minutes is a little tough to match, here is my (current) favorite salmon recipe:

    Ingredients
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Salmon Steaks or Filets
    vegetable oil
    soy sauce
    minced ginger
    minced garlic
    Marinade - for each 1/2lb of salmon...
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    1/4 cup of soy sauce
    2 Tablespoons of vegetable oil
    1 teaspoon of minced garlic (I use 2)
    1 teaspoon of minced ginger

    Instructions
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Marinate the salmon in zip-lock bags, in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes but up to 24 hours.
    After marinating, take the salmon out and pat it dry with a paper towel.
    Cooking methods (in my order of preference)
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    1. outdoor grill - high heat for 2 to 3 minutes per side, no oil needed

    2. cast iron skillet - high heat for 2 minutes per side, light oil to prevent sticking

    3. contact grill (such as George Foreman's lean mean grillin machine) - 4 to 5 minutes, no oil needed

    Cooking times are estimated depending on the thickness of the salmon.

    Easiest Salmon in the world...and my small kids ask for it :):

    Melt a stick of butter, stir in 1/2 cup of brown sugar, and 1/2 cup or so of coconut...pour it over the salmon and let it sit for at least 30 minutes to soak in. Then bake it at 350 for 15-20 minutes until it's cooked to your liking. :) Depending on the size of your fish, you'll have to increase the sauce...

    SO SORRY I didn't do this at answer 7 or so. My keyboard quit working, and no other did either [turns out it's the port, using a laptop now]...

    OK THEN! Takes 5 min to put together -- Here's the recipe:

    You'll need:

    a Salmon
    1 pkg thick sliced bacon
    1 big yellow (sweet) onion
    1 can (reg sz- 15 oz?) stewed tomatoes

    Use one whole salmon- we usually use red [sockeye], silver [coho], although this is good with whatever you have. Kids like it when they taste it, but they initially back away from looks because of the onions ;). Cut the head off, gut it, cut off fins... or for you city folk, go to the market and get one?

    Get out your broiler pan, putting the slotted top part away. You'll only need the bottom. You might want to spray it with a non-stick spray.

    Make sure the fish is clean, cut open and fits in the pan. Slice the onion as if very thin slices for onion rings. Place the slices all over and inside the the salmon. Do the same with the can of stewed tomatoes. Take all the bacon, and lay the strips over it all, completely covering the pan, from one end to the other. Add a foil tent, place in the oven at 350 for about 40 minutes. Keep watch after 35 minutes, as fish size and oven temps vary. After 35-45 mins, take off the foil, allow the bacon to brown, even crisp a little if desired. The bacon and onions make it sweet, the smell is great.

    During this time, you should have the rice cooker on, maybe have served a green salad, and had a glass of wine with your guests...

    When you dish it up, be sure to scoop up some of every element of the dish, placing salmon next to the rice, removing bones as able, and drizzling the pan juices over the rice on the plate. Warn your guests of the possibilities of bones, and make sure they get at least a half slice of bacon.

    ENJOY!!

    I would love to know a good Salmon recipe! I am not much of a fish eater but if it does not have that "fishy" taste.. I will try it, because my fiance' loves fish. I would love to suprise him!
