  • I would think there are many reasons. a few would be that we as humans are wasteful. another would be too many product containers are not recyclable. There are more people producing to make money then people trying to reduce waste.
  • Because resource conservation is a difficult endeavor. We haven't been doing it for very long and it's hard to know when we are really doing good. Sometimes we have great intentions and end up making things worse.
  • because many people on this earth consume too much, waste too much, and dont recycle or conserve enough. also, the population is increasing in astronomical numbers, and each person has a significant environmental footprint. lastly, manufacturers and corporations supplying goods to the consumers have long had poor environmental practices because it was cheaper to do it the polluting way. this is slowly but surely improving, but not fast enough!
  • As opposed to what other planet? I would consider our planet pretty clear compared to all of the others.
