What Race do you think the Ancient Egyptians were? Why?....

I think that the Ancient Egyptians were the same race as their modern descendants in Egypt today.

I doubt if the Ancient Egyptians had any real concept of race though.They divided the peoples of the world into four main groups.

These were Egyptians, Berbers, Asiatics and Cushites.

they were quite cosmopolitan.
look for ancient egyptian frescos and see for yourself.

besides, 'race' is not a very well defined category. everyone now can claim to be descended from any ethnic group of 2000 years ago.
so let me describe them like this:

they were remnants of a collection of peoples that once inhabited a wide area in the Sahara when the latter was still mostly grassland.
They were North Africans.

People Native to African countries on the Mediterranian coast (Algeria, Libya, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt) Resembelled, most closely, southern Europeans. EG Italians. They were certainly Not black, But not white either, More 'Latin' with dark hair and tanned skin.

Look at their Geographical location and it's blatantly obvious that people native to a country like this wouldn't have evolved to be fully black OR white.

To this Day most Algerians, Egyptians and Other north Africans are very light skinned compared to the rest of the continent.

The only knowledge I have is of the Ptolemiac dynesty (circa 305BC - 30 BC). The Ptolemites were of Greek decent and the most famous Ptolemite was Cleopatra.

Black... It says that in the Bible that "Ancient Egyptians" are descendents from Noah's son Ham(black,burnt). I'm not an afrocntrist or centric either! The light-skinned people in the hieroglyphics were most likely the Hebrews because they were slaves. The Modern Egyptians are mostly arabic and light-skinned due to the Greeks, Romans, and Mesopatamians settling in Egypt. People say that King Tut was an alien because of his head, just to let you know black people have funny looking peanut heads too, Arabs don't. Black people have thick lips, flat noses, pertuding chins; while Arabs don't.I just hate that black people are unable to be seen in a positive way and being 16 years old, I find it hard not to know my culture as well and what parts of Africa my family are from.

Wow! Here we go again with this scenario. Well the modern day egyptians are mostly arabic, the ancient ones were nubian, black, until the arabs invaded them, now you have mostly arabic ones there. Some of them are fully black, and some of them are mixed too today, but most of them are arabic. They were not white(caucasian) European that is for sure, and they aren't now, and they never where to begin with. Whoever believes that they were white is deceived as hell, and needs to learn their history.
