Question

Help answer this question below.

My boss yelled and cursed at me because he thought I was not helping the new guy out. I feel as though he doesn't have that right. One of my co workers think I should just "let it roll off my back." I want to go to Human Resouces. What would you do?

my boss yells at me all the time.... like were on the streets and i used to just shrug it off and it didnt get worse so now i just yell back even louder and instead of yelling more he just laughs and says he was kidding

thats just how i handled it, i would say something to him like 'i dont think it was right' ect. if he doesnt seem to care about what u say then go to HR

Before going to human resources, try to resolve the issue and head of future problems by speaking to your boss face to face. Ask him / her exactly what expectations they have to assist the new employee. Your boss has no right to yell at you, and when it occured, I only hope it was in front of the new employee. If your boss is not receptive to the face to face, write down the incident and keep it with you, and should it happen again, then go to HR. Every boss has a bad day, and maybe it was theirs this time. Dont let one incident ruin your job, and try to keep positive. Best of luck to you

I would take it to human resources. once he knows that he can yell at you like that and you arent going to do anything about it, he will do it again. dont let him!
