MS 2007 and open office seem to play fine together so far
They run fine on my machine ... I run a Linux operating system, so Open Office is at home ... and an MS-emulator to run MS-Office while still in Linux ... never had any problems at all ...
I never encountered an issue when I ran both at the same time. I ran office 10.

I installed them on 3 computers today and one last week, the person from last week hasn't told me of any problems
Me personally I still use MS 2003, just know as a tech this is what I've been asked to do lately

Thank you again. I still use Office 2000 but have downloaded Open Office. It seems that the functions are almost equivalent so there might not be any more need to dish out the several hundred dollars for MSO anymore...

many people I know do this, main reason so folks do need MS2003/2007 is for business purpose's as many banks or finial places have them and you just can't do business unless you have excel in their version , many HS kids use it also.
