Okay, come on now, surely SOMEONE has ventured out to see "Charlotte's Web" this week, haven't they???
-
Nope, but all the schools in our school district and many other schools around the world read a page from the book Charlotte's Web all at the same time to break a world record for "Most people reading at the same time". Did I mention that I hate movies where animals talk? I would rather see a ship floating on land.

i have not seen it but i've heard its fantastic

We saw it. It was my son's first movie at the cinema. I thought it was very well-done. A bit long for the age of the target audience, but then I think the same of Disney features. The story is true to the book, and it is a beautiful movie visually.

We saw it the first night it came out. It was a cute movie and my kids, age 10 & 7, really liked it. They said they cried when Charlotte died. The only thing I did't like was Dakota Fanning's portrayal of Fern. She was way too bland in the beginning. At the start of the book when Fern finds out her dad is going to kill the pig she doesn't just go out and talk to him about not killing the pig. She goes out and cries and begs and pleads with her dad not to do that. I just don't think Fanning showed enough emotion in that scene.
