Two cars leave a parking lot and travel in opposite directions One travels at 9 miles per hour and the other travels at 5 mph in how many hrs will the two cars be 56 miles apart?

    9+5=14.
    56 divided by 14 = 4.

    Ergo, your answer is 4.
