  • It depends what security software you have installed. Also, why do you want to block your kids from MySpace?
  • Hmm, I'm not sure how to do it that way, but I do know that there are programs you can use that are specifically for blocking websites - some with prepackaged lists, others that you determine what is and isn't ok. Might be something to look into.
  • If you mean the IP address, that's easy to find. simply open command prompt (start > run > cmd) and type this in: ping http://www.myspace.com it should return the time it took to ping the address, but will refer to the IP instead of the URL
  • What search engine are you using?
  • You could on some routers just enter the web site. No IP is needed. They refresh IP's and so one may be released and a new one may be in its place!!
  • The IP address for myspace is currently 64.135.80.46. Otherwise, if using Internet Explorer, you could follow these instructions for a quick easy fix: Open Internet Explorer. In the Menubar click Tools → Internet Options → Content. In the Content Advisor box, click Enable. Click the Approved Sites tab. Enter the address of the website. Keep in mind - if you want to block the complete website put * in front. For example to block myspace completely, type *.myspace.com Click Never and then OK. Click on the General tab and sure to select Users can see websites that have no ratings Enter a password you can remember easily with a hint. Click OK to safely surf the Internet.
