-
Definately, it's only 50 miles, unless the cemetary is closer.
-
Yes, you should go pronto or otherwise it will not be conclusive.
-
50 miles is less than an hour's drive, so please don't let the distance stop you. You need to make sure you get the BEST testing and BEST treatment available. You deserve it.

Hi, Sweetheart!!! You *better* get your a^s to that appointment. I love you, and want you around for a *long* time.

Why is your doctor sending you? Do you have a family history of certain types of cancer? Having genetic screening is often necessary, but it isn't something to be taken lightly. The results can have emotional consequences for both you and your family. Now, if you do have a strong family history of a treatable form of cancer, you should go get screened. The Genetic Non-Discrimination Act was recently signed into law, so insurance companies won't be able to use the results against you.

I want you to. You have to stay healthy so I have people to keep company at night when they can't sleep. 50 miles isn't that far for your health. I live in a rural area and have to drive farther than that just to get groceries.
-
So you did ask? Great! Yes you should absolutely, positively go with your family history. I'm sure it seems scary, but don't take chances when it comes to something like this. . .just do it. Good luck :)
