When bears hibernate do they ever come out of their dens?

    I thought I had once read that RARELY might one awaken during hibernation, and that if one does...it's not usually a very happy bear!

    But, I did find this web site that I found interesting, perhaps you will too!

    during hibernation? no, they remain in their place of slumber the entire 7 months (give or take). bears do not wake during their sleep, so there's no reason for them to be removed from their den, and, as far as i know, bears can't sleep walk
