Is there parents out there that don't allow your teenagers to date? I'm 16 and my mom don't let me date. I just want a parent's perspective on this issue; why they don't allow it?

I did not with my three older kids, yet they went behind my back and lied to me.
For one I did not allow it is because the bible says that fornication is not ok in Gods eyes.
And for worldly reasons there is just to many diseases out there, and with all the heartbreak that comes with it ass well.

Probably kuz fro mwhat i read it sounds like you have a pretty good future and she doesnt want you to mess it up by allowing guys to distract you...some girls are boy crazy and then for others there is just one that is their end all to be all. prehaps she feels u may fell compelled to have sex and that you may end up with a baby...whatevr her reason im sure she isnt trying to ruin your life she only trying to whats best and protect you. instead of resisting thank her tell her you appreciate her concern if you act with responsibility and maturity maybe in a few months she'll loosen up. start by introducing the guy or guys so that she'll feel more comfortable with them and make ita group thing...ive found that helps

- sure thing sweetie and stop rushing dating is not all its cracked up to be...the sooner you start the sooner you'll get tired of it
