  • Well, he may not feel the best but he knows what he wants. My best advice is that if you can separate them for the entire time of her heat. Send either one away for a few weeks to ease the stress on them both. He is feeling the strain because she smells wonderful and she is probably feeling just as bad because she wants to mate and here is a fellow just nearby and they can't. Hunt around for a suitable place for one of them to go for a holiday. Another alternative is to spray her rear end with a strong perfume, on and around her tail and back legs NOT on her bits and pieces to discourage her fragrance. Another alternative is that if you are not going to breed her at this time them perhaps the vet can put her on the pill to take away her symptoms and relieve their stress.
