Why is my basement warmer than it is upstairs when i turn the heat on? And I've already cleaned the ducts and the furnace

    Try closing the 'registers'. That should force more heat to go up to where you want it.
    It will probably take a little time to get it just right. Just close the 'registers' or 'dampers' in the the places you want less heat and open them where you want more heat. Good luck.
