The record for most teams played for by an NFL player is shared by Chris Chandler, Mark Royals and Karl Wilson (although Chandler is the only player to have started for eight different teams). This record is 8 different teams.

Wrong. The answer is actually Chris Chandler. He has played for 8 teams the Indianapolis Colts, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Phoenix Cardinals, Los Angeles Rams, Houston Oilers, Atlanta Falcons, Chicago Bears, and St. Louis Rams

Well, I had forgotten him, to tell you the truth. He's not been one of the "greats" in terms of accomplishments. He is, however, a good, steady, reliable QB.
