I never tip, do I get tips at work? No. So I don't see why I should tip them, they have an employer who probably pays them enough to do the job. I just give thanks and off on my way :)

Depends on what kind of hair cut, how much time they spend with you, if they satisfied your needs, have they gone beyond the call of duty? did they cut your ear? how much was the haircut? was it a salon, barber, cosmo school?...

If i go to the local barber he charges 10 $ I give him 5 $ tip
If i go to a ""stylist she charges 14$ =/- i tip
her 5 $
if i go to a "real stylist" they charge 18-20 $ I tip 5 $
So Its not a percentage its a flat 5 $

Well here where i live, it's not really normal to tip when you are at a hairstyle place.. i don't think they would be aloud to exept it, if anyone gave them, (anyway the place where my brothers cut their hair, are really expensive)
Bur when we are in Spain we tip on different things.
