Those in the market are always surprised when it goes south! They actually expect it to climb ever upward forever! Well, it's been too high for far too long and now it's going straight to the bottom, no matter what they attempt to do to change things! I am ready and have been ready for years! I strongly suggest you start stockpiling things that will be worth something after the collapse, such as liquor, tobacco, and sugar! In the beginning ammo will be worth a premium amount!

The Federal Reserve's unusual move to ease credit for businesses lifted U.S. stocks at Tuesday's open.

The Dow Jones industrial average (INDU) bounced above the 10,000 mark - which it fell below Monday for the first time in nearly four years - with a gain of more than 100 points. The Standard & Poor's 500 (SPX) index and the Nasdaq composite (COMP) were also higher.

Treasury prices slumped, raising the corresponding yields as investors dumped government debt in favor of stocks and other assets.

I will not allow the stock market problems affect my day to day life. I own stock in 2 companies and they have not been hurt too much. And I switched my 401K contributions to interest income in June.
