When the 10th Avatar of Shri Vishnu comes the universe will be destroyed. There are four Yugas; Satya, Treta, Dwapar, and Kal Yuga. Each one is 1/4 less in time, and goodness. This is why this Yuga people don't act as great as they did in other Yugas. About 75% of the world thinks demonically and 25% think in goodness. Of that 25% maybe 5% think solely and purely of God and are known as Mahatmas(Great Souls). God will come down to destroy the biggest evil in the world which represents all sin and it lead to total destruction. However, the soul never dies just the body and those who don't surrender to God will have to wait the same amount of time as the yugas for another universe to be created. Therefore especially in this Yuga because most think in ignorance and passion, it is essential to always think, pray, serve, devote, and love God.
