  • When I was in the food and beverage business, from time-to-time folks would telephone, write or actually ask for different recipes. I was ALWAYS flattered. I ALWAYS responded to their requests. I was never on TV, but I can imagine those folks are probably swamped with different requests. Here are THE BEST suggestions I cn offer: 1] IF there is a way to review the credits from that program by watching that particular show on the Food Network, make note of who the shows' sponsors are on the shows "credits". A) Go on-line to see if you can purchase that particular product or B) Go to a very good gourmet kitchen supply store OR a restaurant supply house and ask about it. 2] NOTHING lets hosts know how well a program is liked AND how well its host is doing like actually telling that person how much you enjoy his/her/their programs. E-mail & "snail mail" the Food Network with a letter to Alton Brown's attention. Ask him what brand that particular piece of equipment is AND how and where you can purchase it. It might take a while to get a reply, but you should have an answer in one to two months. 3] As a last resort, telephone or FAX the Food Network. The reason I specify this as a last resort, MANY times that phone message is never delivered to the person it was intended for OR that person's staff loses it OR that fax is considered a "junk fax" and is destroyed.
